Chanel was born in Gwangju, South Korea. She spent most of her childhood in the rural countryside where she developed an appreciation for natural beauty. Chanel enrolled in the Florence Academy of Art in 2015 where she won Best Cast Painting of the Year and Best Painting of the Year. Her painting, “Moroccan Girl Waiting” exhibited at the Palazzo Piccolomini in Pienza, Italy, as well as received Honorable Mention in the 15th International ARC Salon competition.  Pieces Wounded and Silence were also selected as Finalists in the ARC Salon competition.  In New York, her “Young Boy Sitting” drawing was awarded second place by the The Florence Academy of Art, Drawing on the Masters committee. Chanel enjoys telling each individual’s personal story through her portrait and figure paintings.
